WHY INSANITY IS THE NEW COOL !!!
So many years ago, the children in a Church had a special programme and when it was time for Q and A, the Pastor's child was asked to mention her best song... "Koyometal"(she can't pronounce FAZES' 'Kolomental' properly); she sheepishly replied. I am not one to take on Pastor's children at all, I just used this example to introduce my writeup so that we can all know that no one is exempted.
THE CRUX OF THE MATTER
It was one of those long Sunday services and I suddenly became restless and had to leave the junior church to confirm from the adult Church why the service was taking too long. On getting downstairs, I saw my Youth Pastor with a mentally challenged young man.
The young man was looking so unkempt and was wearing tattoos in some parts of his body while carrying a nylon containing leftover food. My youth pastor then asked if I recognise the boy, and I replied in denial. On taking a closer look, I realised he is one of the young boys I knew on the street few years ago and I was dazed.
My youth pastor then told me of how he became a member of our Church a year ago and stayed for few weeks, only to disappear into the thin air. Every effort to trace him failed. His roommate claimed he wasn't living with him again.
On reappearing, the young man had lost his senses. Despite the fact that he had a profitable handwork , he lost his sanity to excessive marijuana intake and bad company. I know someone will wrongly conclude that the boy destroyed himself; hearing his tale of woe might change your conclusion.
His parents were separated and he got frustrated by the whole situation - I mean, it was more than he had capacity to manage. So, he headed to Abuja to make a meaning out of his young life but how much meaning can an unguided child make from his life? He wanted to at least get back at his parents by his unannounced departure but he ended up as a victim of irresponsible parenting.
MY CONCLUSION!!!!
Although, the said boy might be physically insane, there are millions of youths, teens, and children who are equally insane to certain degrees while some are yet on their way to join the insanity train(ripple effect).
What do you think of those young prostitutes on the streets,the young rogues,those girls who dress unclad around,the porn stars, gays,heartless politicians, Pedophiles,sugar girls,terrorists, religious extremists, sugar mummies,sugar daddies,drug addicts,cultists,abusive bosses,manipulative clergies, political thugs, all those who do crazy things on reality TV shows just to become celebs(and those who vote for them) etc. They are all manifestations of different degrees of insanity. They are products of our failing family system. It's an insane world you know, and people celebrate insanity. country lace wedding dresses
The above mentioned are all suffering from different degrees of insanity...To them, insanity is the new cool;rebellion is the new pull. The world(the family)has failed them and they want vengeance.
My pain is this; insane people will marry their likes and reproduce their likes and yet, the insane world is daily advocating intolerance, divorce and separation (some hiding under the umbrella of feminism)- some of their points are valid though. However, the FAMILY is the foundation - IF YOU HAVE ONE, GUIDE IT JEALOUSLY..
